Howard Quick Shihan
Shinkendo Ji-e / Chudenrenshi (Australian Chief Instructor) & Japanese Jujutsu 6th Dan
Howard Sensei first began training in the art of Karate at the age of 9 (1978) whilst living in Malaysia. Upon returning to Australia, he re-commenced training at the Western Combat Academy (Senjutsu Ryu Jujitsu) at the age of 17 (1985) under the instruction of John Beckman Shihan.
He toured Europe with Jan De Jong Soke in 1996 and 1997, assisting and teaching Jujutsu in England, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Belgium. He regularly teaches classes and conducts seminars throughout Australia including New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Queensland and Victoria.
Howard Sensei began training in the Japanese sword arts of Shinkendo and Toyama Ryu in 1997. In January of 2000, he was appointed as Australian representative to Obata Toshishiro Kaiso, Chief instructor and Founder of the International Shinkendo Federation.
He regularly travels to The United States of America for further instruction from Obata Kaiso and to conduct seminars in the art of Jujutsu.

- International Shinkendo Federation – Ji-e / Chudenrenshi (Australian Chief Instructor)
- Toyama Ryu as taught by Obata Toshishiro – Yondan/Chuden Renshi
